- Marketing/Pursuit Coordinator/Proposal Writer Area West Environmental, Inc.
(AWE) is an environmental consulting firm in the Sacramento area seeking to fill a Marketing/Pursuit Coordinator/Proposal Writer position.
A background in marketing business development and an understanding of the environmental field is preferred.
Primarily, you will write, develop, and coordinate content for proposals, including technical descriptions of sample projects, proposed staff resume development, project understandings, scope of work, and approaches.
Supporting this effort, you will also lead or participate in outlining and storyboarding meetings to determine the direction for proposal content.
You will also review, analyze, and interpret technical requirements to gain a thorough understanding of the audience, situation, and the objectives of each solicitation and when necessary, communicate that information to others.
Bringing exceptional time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritizing multiple tasks to keep proposal delivery efforts on track are important to your success in this role.
Adapting to priority and direction changes in a fast- paced work environment is an important trait for candidates applying to this position.
This position requires strong organizational skills, writing and editing text and the ability to develop and meet project schedules with strict deadlines.
Main
Responsibilities:
Gather relevant resumes and project descriptions from across the organization in a timely manner and modify them per proposal requirements and approved templates Participate in resume reviews with project managers to ensure they highlight relevant information, showcase required experience, and are compliant to solicitation requirements Contribute to other proposal sections as needed, including writing non-technical sections or contributing to qualifications statements Take meeting notes and monitor action item follow through Perform the regular upkeep of online proposal tracking for the team Assist with the submission of required proposal forms Coordinate production Work to continually assess and improve processes and techniques Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively with internal clients and external business partners, and meet deadlines Basic Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or other closely related field 1
year of experience in a professional setting, and experience with writing or editing, required 1
year of experience with proposal preparation and production, ideally in the A/E/C industry Exceptional organizational and research skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team A service and client-related mindset Strong verbal and written communication skills Microsoft Office proficiency, including Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel An understanding of the A/E/C industry, preferred Prior experience in an environmental consulting environment, preferred Experience working in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills Ability to work quickly, accurately, and collaboratively to meet deadlines Highly responsive and able to identify and address high-priority tasks Preferred
