Requirements for Applying
Substitutes are 'on-call' employees serving on a day-to-day basis. The intent of a substitute is to fill in for an employee who is on a leave of absence. Substitutes are called for assignments through an automated system- AESOP. Be advised that absences are unpredictable; therefore assignment offers are not guaranteed. BASIC FUNCTIONUnder direct supervision, provide for the safety and welfare of students during non-classroom activities; communicate observations and incidents which may impact a student's development and/or the general well-being of other school personnel; provide appropriate emergency care as may be necessary.EXPERIENCE Prior job related experience; paid or volunteer, working with school-aged children preferred.
Upon hire, selected candidates will be asked to provide proof of a negative TB reading and criminal background check by the Department of Justice. High school graduation is preferred. May require valid driver's license.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
