Options For Youth is a free, year-round public charter school who works alongside their students to design individualized learning plans. We work to effectively meet their unique academic, social-emotional, and scheduling needs through a blended teaching model. We utilize one-on-one instruction and tutoring, independent study, online learning, small group classes, cultural immersion, and hands-on activities.
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Teacher is to provide instruction and other related services to their students.

Job Duties:
Utilizes educational technology and media to enhance learning.
Chats in virtual discussion threads and manages small groups of students to meet individual needs.
Facilitates collaborative grouping and keeps learning management system organized and updated.
Lesson plans a differentiated curriculum to ensure student success.
Keeps grade, attendance and retention records.
Provides targeted interventions for special education students and English Language Learners.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Minimum BA degree or equivalent
Current California Single Subject Credential

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
