Branch Manager

Schools is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full time Branch Manager position at our Orangevale Branch. This position is responsible for developing and promoting an environment that builds excellent member service, professionalism, encourages top performance, and creates accountability within the branch. Ensures maximum production potential in meeting established credit union goals and objectives. Manages an active sales culture by supporting the designing and implementation of promotions and campaigns throughout the year including community development involvement. Monitors and provides feedback concerning the overall branch sales levels and progress towards meeting goals and objectives. Coaches and develops branch team members as needed in the strategies needed to attain positive sales results.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotes and maintains quality member service at all times
Monitors, trains and motivates employees in sales skills and techniques to ensure employees ability to meet established branch sales and production goals
Stays abreast of all new products introduced to the Credit Union and integrates those products into the overall strategy for the market area
Monitors and evaluates adequacy of branch methods, procedures, operations, services, and efficiency and recommends changes, as appropriate
Plans, organizes and directs all functions of the branch, which includes Operations, Loans and New Accounts
Reviews, approves and disapproves consumer loans within guidelines and current loan policy standards
Advises, coaches, trains and assists branch employees and develops and establishes goals and objectives to help employees strengthen performance, develop additional capabilities and/or achieve desired results
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of two years experience as a manager in a financial institution is required
Proven expertise in developing strategies, executing ideas, campaigns and tactics to not only meet but exceed established sales objectives and goals
Ability to motivate, coach and develop employees to serve our members well; both from a sales and service perspective
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Understands and can apply regulatory and compliance requirements
Ability to speak effectively before groups of members, potential members or employees of the Credit Union
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required (business courses preferred). Associate or Bachelors degree desired

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
